The Arai XD helmet features a Twin-Cam Shield Pivot System, allowing the faceshield to operate fully under a peak, which can be lowered for improved aerodynamics. The high-flow peak channels air directly into the front vents, while the Dual TDF3 top intake vents and Double Delta bridged exhaust vents are designed to draw a significant volume of air from the helmet interior. Constructed of fiberglass composite, the shell is not only stronger and lighter, but also allows for the use of softer, less dense liner materials which increase rider comfort.

This helmet also boasts an efficient chinbar vent with interior and exterior controls that flow fresh air to the mouth area or across the shield interior to help prevent fogging. Additionally, large chinbar side exhaust vents draw out additional hot air. The Arai XD series helmets offer multiple configurations, including shield and peak, peak only for use with goggles, or shield only. The fully removable, replaceable, and washable liner, along with optional liner sizes available for a custom fit, enhance the overall comfort and usability of the helmet.
