Arai Corsair-X Vinales-6 Unisex-Adult Helmet

The Arai Corsair-X Helmet has once again raised the bar in helmet technology and rider protection. In Arai's signature fashion, the Corsair-X is designed not only to protect against direct impacts, but also to minimize the effects of "glancing off" impacts. This is achieved through a stronger shell and smoother shape that are engineered to redirect impact energy rather than absorb it, thus reducing the force transferred to the body.

One of the key features of the Corsair-X is the VAS (Variable Axis System) side pod, pivot cover, which is smaller in size and positioned lower on the shell to enhance its potential to deflect impact energy. The shell is constructed from Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers used in F-1 helmet visor panels, and is assembled and bonded by Arai experts. The specially-developed resin creates strong bonds between shell materials with less weight, resulting in superb tensile strength due to carefully-positioned materials and lightweight resin.

The helmet is DOT approved and meets FMVSS 218 standards, and is equipped with exclusive VAS shield and side pods. The VAS shield mount position is lower than most helmets, allowing for a dual function lever that releases both the side pod and the face shield for quick and easy removal. The larger latch design enables intuitive and seamless operation, while also securely holding the face shield closed. Additionally, the VAS MAX Vision shield provides better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding, and comes standard with a clear anti-fog Pinlock insert.

The VAS system's variable axis (moving pivot point) allows for shield opening and closing even with the lower shield position, a feature not commonly found in other helmets. This innovation enables riders to enjoy the benefits of a lower shield mount position without sacrificing functionality.
