Arai Contour-X Street Motorcycle Helmet

The logo duct operates effectively at low speeds and with an upright riding position. It can be easily opened or closed with summer or winter gloves using a short-stroke lever located at the top of the helmet. If the rider cannot see the lever and the logo is in its normal place, the duct is open. The rear spoiler is positioned slightly forward on the shell and is supplied with air through three ports, efficiently drawing air and smoothing airflow over and from the side of the helmet. This improves stability and reduces buffeting, especially during overtaking at highway speeds, resulting in significantly less rider fatigue.

The 3D ARAI logo duct, with a depth of just 3.5 mm, feeds two central 10 mm intake ports. The logo duct is designed to break away in the event of an impact and is DOT approved, meeting FMVSS 218 standards. The aerodynamic rear spoiler features a one-piece exhaust function and is operated by a 3-way switch. It is inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X, but has been redesigned for touring use. Thin and lightweight, the aerodynamic rear spoiler is designed to crush or break away upon impact, ensuring no influence on protective performance.

The sliding chin vent actuating mechanism is thicker and easy to use with gloves. The helmet is also designed to easily fit and connect a communication system on the shell exterior without compromising the protection offered by the inner EPS liner. The 3-position sliding air-scoop chin vent flows a large intake volume of air and has a replaceable filter. The outer shell design outlines a stylish, organic shape and uses Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2) for lightweight strength and integrated side ducts. An extra layer of super fiber belting in the outer shell maintains rigidity in a crucial area while offering flat sides for easy fitment of an intercom system.
